No. Findings and canon proposals remain suggestions with review or dismiss controls. Your manuscript and canon change only when you choose to edit or accept something.
Yes. AI is optional. The manuscript editor, worldbuilding, characters, relationships, timelines, lineage, maps, planning views, import and export all work without configuring any AI provider, and no AI runs unless you start one.
Yes. BYOK means bring your own key: you supply a credential for OpenAI or Anthropic, the two providers your browser can reach directly today. The key is held in your browser session storage and the request goes from your browser straight to that provider, so Mythwrites does not store it on our servers. Usage, limits and cost are governed by your own provider account.
Yes. Mythwrites supports Markdown, JSON and DOCX export, plus full JSON backups and smart import for bringing existing work into the workspace.
Yes, on the Mythic plan. Collaboration invites use capability-based permissions, so you choose what a collaborator can reach, and read-only access stays clearly marked.
