These terms are the agreement between you and [ENTITY-LEGAL-NAME] ([ENTITY-FORM: e.g. a sole proprietorship of Vishal Kundar]) of [REGISTERED-BUSINESS-ADDRESS, India], which operates Mythwright at mythwrites.com. In these terms “Mythwright”, “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service. By creating an account or using Mythwright you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Your writing is yours
You own every word, world, character and map you create in Mythwright. We claim no ownership of it, no right to publish it, no right to sell it, and no right to train anything on it. The only permission you give us is the narrow technical permission we need to store your work and show it back to you. That is set out in full under “Your content” below, and it is the section to read if you read only one.
Mythwright gives you tools to write a manuscript and organise the world around it: chapters, world entries, characters, timelines, lineages, CYOA branches, export to Markdown, JSON and DOCX, and an optional AI assistant. Depending on how the app is configured it runs either in browser demo mode, where your work stays on your own device, or in cloud mode, where it syncs to our servers. This is early access software. Features can change, and we may add, alter or withdraw them.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mythwright. One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it. Give us an email address you actually read, because it is how we reach you about billing, security and changes to these terms.
Everything you write, upload or create in Mythwright is your content, and you keep every intellectual property right in it. Nothing in these terms transfers copyright, moral rights, or any other right in your work to us. If you already sold or optioned rights in a manuscript to a publisher or anyone else, storing a draft here changes none of that.
To run the service we need a licence, and it is deliberately narrow. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence, for as long as your content is on our systems, to host, store, copy, back up, transmit, reformat and display your content, and to do the same through the infrastructure providers named in our Privacy Policy, for one purpose only: operating Mythwright for you and for the collaborators you have invited. The licence is worldwide only because servers and content delivery are, and it ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies sitting in routine backups until those roll off.
To be explicit about what we will not do, because for a writing tool that promise is the product. We do not publish, distribute, sell, sublicense or share your content with anyone other than the collaborators you invite and the processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use it to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI model, and we do not supply it to anyone else to do so. We do not read your manuscripts for product research, marketing, or to build features. Our staff, which today means one person, does not open your projects except where you ask for support that requires it and give permission, or where the law compels us.
You are responsible for having the right to store what you store. You confirm that your content does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy, and is not unlawful.
Do not use Mythwright to store or share material that is unlawful in India, that infringes another person’s rights, or that sexualises children. Do not attempt to break into other users’ projects, probe or overload our systems, resell access to your account, or scrape the service. Fiction is fiction: dark themes in a novel are not the target of this section.
On plans that include collaboration you can invite others to a project by email. Only invite people who expect to hear from you. The project owner controls access and can remove a collaborator at any time. If you are a collaborator rather than the owner, remember that the owner controls that project and can delete it, along with your contributions to it, without notice to you. Sort out authorship and rights between yourselves; Mythwright does not arbitrate co-writing disputes.
The AI assistant is bring-your-own-key. You supply an API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible endpoint you run, and your browser calls that provider directly. We do not resell AI capacity, we are not a party to your relationship with the provider, and your use of it is governed by that provider’s own terms and pricing. You pay them, not us, for the tokens you consume.
Because the call is made from your device, your prompt and the lore context around it go to that provider without passing through our servers. Our Privacy Policy lists precisely what is included in that context, which is more than the sentence you typed. Read it before you paste a key. If your work is confidential or under embargo, leave the key blank and the assistant will fall back to a local heuristic.
As between you and us, output the assistant returns is yours to use, on the same footing as the rest of your content. AI output can be wrong, derivative, or unintentionally close to someone else’s work, and the legal status of machine-generated text is unsettled in India and elsewhere. Check anything you intend to publish. We give no warranty that AI output is accurate, original or fit for publication, and we are not responsible for what you do with it.
Free lets you explore a sample project and does not let you create your own. Writer, at ₹499 per month, lets you create your own projects and use the manuscript, world, character, timeline, lineage and export tools. Pro, at ₹749 per month, adds the AI assistant, CYOA export and collaboration.
Currency. Payment is taken by Cashfree in Indian Rupees: ₹499 per month for Writer and ₹749 per month for Pro. The rupee amount shown on the Cashfree checkout page and on the mandate you authorise is the amount you are actually charged, and it is the one that binds. Where the site shows a dollar figure ($6 for Writer, $9 for Pro) it is an indicative conversion for readers outside India and nothing more. If you pay from a non-rupee account your bank sets the conversion rate and may add its own fee, and we have no control over either.
Outside India. Cashfree subscription mandates work only within India, so we cannot currently take a payment from a non-Indian account. If you are outside India there is no checkout for you yet, and the prices you see are shown for information only. Write to support@mythwright.app and we will tell you when that changes.
Billing cycle. Paid plans are monthly and renew automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. When paid plans are live, subscribing sets up a recurring payment mandate with Cashfree under the Reserve Bank of India’s e-mandate framework. Cashfree may place a small authorisation charge of up to [MANDATE-AUTH-AMOUNT, e.g. INR 1] to verify the mandate, which is refunded automatically. Under the RBI rules your bank or app notifies you before each recurring debit, and you can revoke the mandate there at any time.
Trial. Writer and Pro include a 14 day free trial. Starting a trial requires you to authorise the mandate up front. We charge nothing during the trial, and the first monthly charge falls due on the day it ends. Cancel before then and you are not charged.

Right now. Checkout is not yet switched on. No payment is being collected, and switching plans inside the app changes what the app unlocks on your device without charging you anything. We will not take a first payment from anyone without setting up a mandate you explicitly authorise.
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, without giving a reason. Use the Cancel subscription button on your Profile page: it cancels the mandate with Cashfree immediately, and your account only shows as cancelled once Cashfree has confirmed it. You can also email support@mythwright.app from the address on your account, in which case we will cancel within 2 working days and honour the date you wrote to us, not the date we got round to it. You can revoke the Cashfree mandate directly from your bank or UPI app as well, which stops future debits.
Cancelling stops future charges. Your paid features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account drops to Free. Cancelling does not delete your account or your work; deleting your account is a separate action, described in the Privacy Policy.
If you are unhappy in the first 7 days after your first charge on a plan, email support@mythwright.app and we will refund that charge in full. No conditions about how much you used it. After those 7 days, monthly charges are not refundable in part, so a cancellation mid-month stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one. We will always refund a charge that was taken in error, or one taken after you asked us to cancel.
Refunds go back through Cashfree to the payment method you used, usually within 5 to 7 working days once we have processed them. None of this cuts down any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other Indian consumer law, and if that law gives you a better outcome than this section, the law wins.
We back up our database, but no backup regime is perfect and this is a small independent product. Your manuscript is probably worth more to you than anything else in this agreement, so export it regularly from the Export page and keep a copy somewhere we do not control. We are not liable for lost or corrupted content, and that is the honest position rather than a comfortable one.
You may stop using Mythwright at any time and delete your account from the Profile page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that is attacking the service. Unless the law prevents it or the abuse is severe, we will tell you why, give you a chance to respond, and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your work first. If we close your account without cause we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
Mythwright is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will suit any particular purpose, and we offer no uptime guarantee at this stage. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing here excludes a condition or warranty that Indian law does not permit us to exclude.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or connected with Mythwright, in any twelve month period, is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000 if you have paid us nothing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost publishing opportunities, or loss of data, except where the law does not allow that exclusion.
This limit does not apply to liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury, or to any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
You are responsible for your own content, so if a third party brings a claim against us because of something you stored or published through Mythwright, you will cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it, to the extent the claim arises from your breach of these terms.
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email the address on your account and show a notice in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Mythwright after that, you accept the new terms; if you do not want them, cancel, export your work, and delete your account, and we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Price increases never apply to a period you have already paid for.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to support@mythwright.app first, because almost everything is settled that way. If it is not, the courts at [CITY, STATE] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right under Indian consumer law to bring a complaint before the consumer commission where you live, work or where the cause of action arose.
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest keeps working. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
